Moist Vanilla Cupcake Recipe
Step 1: Gather Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 egg whites (room temperature)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
Step 2: Preheat Oven
Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also prepare the cupcake pan by dropping in some cupcake paper liners.Step 3: Sift Together Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, sift the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Then whisk it all together until combined.Step 4: Separate the Eggs
Separate the yolks from the whites. While you're only using the whites in this recipe, you may want to hold onto the yolks for a future custard or something.Step 5: Combine Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, add the wet ingredients and whisk until they're all combined (it's ok if the batter is a little on the clumpy side!).Step 6: Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ones and stir until combined.Step 7: Pour Batter Into Liners
Now, carefully and evenly pour the batter into the cupcake liners. You want each liner to be about 2/3 full with batter.Step 8: Bake
