If you’re looking for a salad that’s a little more unique than your standard Caesar or Greek, then you may just find what you need here at Sol Kitchen. Check out our 3 favourite salads this month below!
Wonderland
We'll start off our list of favourite salads with our Wonderland Salad. It contains a delicious mix of kale, quinoa, beets, carrots, apples, and pumpkin seeds, all tossed together in a citrus ginger vinaigrette. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, and makes for a filling yet healthy meal. In fact, with such healthy ingredients, you can get all kinds of nutrients in with this salad. For example, quinoa is a complete protein, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids. It’s also a good source of fibre, magnesium, and iron. Meanwhile, kale is packed with vitamins A, C, and K, as well as calcium and iron. So, if you’re looking for a nutrient-rich salad that will leave you feeling satisfied, look no further than our Wonderland salad!Grilled Shrimp & Avocado Caesar Salad
If you're looking for a unique twist on a classic Caesar, then you're going to love our Grilled Shrimp & Avocado Caesar Salad. You've got the greens you would expect from a Caesar salad, but then there's also the grilled tiger shrimp, avocado, Sõl Kitchen's own dressing, and even toasted pumpkin seeds for a little extra crunch. If you weren't a fan of Caesar salad before, these extra few ingredients may make you a convert! The nice thing about these additions is that they're healthy, too. Avocados, for example, are a great source of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. Shrimp is also a healthy protein choice, as it's low in fat and calories but high in vitamins and minerals. So, if you're looking for a healthier (not to mention tastier!) Caesar salad option, this is it!Halloumi Salad
Now, if you're really looking for something different, then you may be interested in our Halloumi Salad. This one contains fried halloumi cheese, roasted sweet potatoes, fresh beets, pumpkin seeds and greens, all tossed in our turmeric ginger vinaigrette. You probably haven't been making salads like this at home! If you've never heard of or cooked with it before, halloumi cheese is a type of cheese that originates from Cyprus. It's made from a mix of sheep and goat milk, and has a high melting point, meaning it can be easily fried or grilled. It tastes similar to mozzarella, but with a slightly saltier flavour. And trust us - it's delicious! So, if you're feeling adventurous and are looking to try something new, then our halloumi salad is the perfect choice for you.Enjoy!
